R134a and R1234yf: the correct gas for the vehicle
We work with both R134a and R1234yf refrigerants. They are not interchangeable, and the required refrigerant and charge are checked for your particular vehicle. Tell us the registration, model and any known repairs rather than guessing from age alone.
For an electric or hybrid vehicle, contact us first to confirm suitability. Our separate battery test covers the 12V battery; it is not a high-voltage traction-battery assessment. The air-con technician holds the stated IMI automotive refrigerant-handling qualification.
What happens during the regas?
On a suitable, serviceable system, we recover the remaining refrigerant, draw a vacuum to remove air and moisture, recharge to the vehicle’s specified amount and check cooling performance. We explain the findings and flag concerns that may require further investigation.
If the air con blows warm, leaks, makes an unusual noise or has quickly lost cooling after a previous recharge, mention this before booking. A recharge does not fix a leaking condenser, damaged pipework or a failed component. Read our warm-air guide if you are unsure how to describe the problem.
Air con regas prices and the £99.99 offer
Our £99.99 Chill & Check package combines air-con recharge, a 12V battery health test and a diagnostic scan, with printed findings. Appropriate warning-light resets are included where supported. The battery test is included in this paid package at no additional test charge.
Individual air-con services are quoted separately. We confirm the vehicle’s requirements and any additional work or travel cost before you book. Repairs are separate. There is no universal standalone price, free travel promise or guarantee that recharging will cure every cooling fault.

Our advertised service covers servicing, regas and checks. A suspected leak or failed part may need separate repair; ask the team to confirm the scope before booking.
Is the £99.99 package available for both gases?
We work with R134a and R1234yf systems, but suitability, refrigerant requirements and any additional cost must be confirmed for your vehicle before the package is booked.
How often should air con be serviced?
We recommend an air-con service at least every two years, or sooner if there are symptoms. Follow the vehicle manufacturer’s guidance; this is our recommendation rather than a universal recharge requirement.
